Phalaenopsis Orchids—Phalaenopsis (fal-en-OPP-sis) orchids come in a rich source of colors. In this painting, I have chosen purple as the primary color. The white vase with purple reflections set off the contrasting green waxy leaves. As in many of my paintings, the vase rest upon a marble slab.
Ladybug--Folklore says that a person’s wish is granted if a ladybug lands on them. Also, tradition says that if you capture a ladybug; make a wish, and then "blow it away" back home your wish will come true. Somewhere in all my flower paintings you will find your ladybug.
